Photos are the first thing people see and the first thing they judge. The good news: a current phone takes more than good enough photos for a website if you respect four things.
Natural light, always
Open the blinds, turn off the flash and shoot near a window or outdoors on a cloudy day. Fluorescent light turns everything yellow or green.
Tidy up the background
Before you shoot, remove what doesn't belong: cables, boxes, the water bottle. The eye goes straight to what shouldn't be there.
Horizontal, and no zoom
Horizontal photos work better on the web. Get closer with your feet, not the digital zoom, which pixelates.
Plenty of shots
Take twenty to keep three. Different angles, different heights. We pick the best and handle the basic retouching.
If your industry calls for professional photography (high-end dining, jewelry, fashion), we'll tell you on the first call and recommend who to work with.
Once you have the photos, check what your business homepage must have, or see how we build your business's first website.
