Why isn't my website showing up on Google?
It is the question most people come to us with. Before talking strategy, it pays to rule out the basics, because the problem is often specific and has a direct fix:
| What happens | Why it happens | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Google does not have your site in its index | The site is new, it is blocked for search engines, or nobody added it to Search Console. | We check for blocks, add the site to Google Search Console and submit the sitemap. |
| You only show up when people search your name | The site does not clearly say what you do, where and for whom. Google has nowhere to get that from. | We write the titles, the copy and one page per service in the words your customers use. |
| You show up on page 3 | Competitors have more content, more reviews or more links pointing to them. | We compare you with whoever ranks above you and put together a content and profiles plan. |
| Your site is slow on mobile | Heavy images, templates loaded with plugins, or unused code. | We optimize images and code, or suggest a redesign that keeps what already ranks. |
| Maps shows a different phone number | The details on your website, Google Business Profile and social media do not match. | We align name, address, phone, hours and category everywhere. |
If you want to run a first check yourself, search Google for site:yourdomain.com.ar. If no pages come up, it is an indexing problem, and that should be fixed before anything else.
What the SEO assessment looks like
The assessment is free and done on your actual website, not as a hundred-page automated report. It looks at four things:
- What your customers search for. The phrases they use to find what you sell, in your area and your industry. "Tire shop" is not the same search as "tire change in San Miguel".
- Why you show up today. If you already have Search Console, we look at the searches you appear for and the clicks. If not, we set it up.
- Who ranks above you. What the pages Google shows first have: content, reviews, speed, links.
- What your website is missing. Technical issues, pages that do not exist yet and details that do not match.
With that, we show you a plan in order of priority: first what unblocks you (technical), then what brings visits (content), with local SEO in parallel.
Technical SEO: the foundation you do not see
No content strategy works if Google cannot read your site properly. This is what we check and fix:
- Indexing: important pages are in Google's index, and the ones that add nothing (tests, duplicates) are not.
- Sitemap and robots.txt: an up-to-date sitemap and no accidental blocks.
- Mobile speed: light images, less code and pages that load without the wait.
- Titles and descriptions: a different one for each page, with what people search for and your business name.
- Headings: a single main heading per page and a structure that is easy to read.
- Internal links: every important page gets links from other pages, with anchor text that says what it is about.
- Structured data: the code that tells Google what kind of business you are, your hours, your services and your FAQs.
- Redirects: if you changed websites or domains, old URLs lead to the new ones and not to an error page.
Content: one page for each thing you sell
Google ranks pages, not companies. If your site has a single page that says "we do it all", it competes poorly against a site with one page per service. Content work means building those pages and writing them for people, in the words your customers use:
- Service pages: what you do, for whom, how the process works, how long it takes and what it costs (or a starting price).
- Industry or area pages: only when there is something of your own to tell, like real case studies. Copying the same page and swapping the city name does not work, and Google penalizes it.
- FAQs: the ones you answer on WhatsApp every day, answered on the website.
- Guides: articles that answer questions before the purchase, like our guide to how much a website costs.
This very site is an example of how we work: industry pages with real case studies, like the one for manufacturers and factories, and guides organized in guides and resources (in Spanish).
Local SEO: showing up in your area and on Google Maps
For a business that serves one location or area, a large share of inquiries comes from the map: "near me", "in Pilar", "open now". Three things matter there: a complete Google Business Profile, reviews that you reply to, and the same details on your website, on Maps and on social media. We handle it together with the website and explain it step by step in the guide on how to show up on Google Maps. If your business is in the City of Buenos Aires or the northern suburbs, see also how we work in the City of Buenos Aires and in the northern suburbs (in Spanish).
How long does SEO take to show results?
There is no guaranteed timeline, and be wary of anyone who promises one: it depends on how competitive your search is, how old your domain is and how much content gets published. This is our estimate, based on how the new sites we work with tend to move:
| Type of search | Example | First impressions | First page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Very specific, by industry and area | website for tire shops in La Plata | 2 to 6 weeks | 2 to 5 months |
| Mid-range commercial | how much a website costs in Argentina | Weeks | 6 to 12 months, and it almost always needs other sites linking to you |
| Generic | web design | Variable | More than a year, and sometimes it cannot be done without press coverage or directories |
MyLeads' own estimate, not a promise. What does show quickly are technical fixes: a site that was not indexed starts appearing as soon as Google processes it.
That is why we recommend starting with specific searches, which bring fewer visits but more real inquiries, and adding broader ones over time.
SEO pricing
SEO is tailored: fixing a five-page website does not cost the same as a store with hundreds of products, and competing in your neighborhood is not the same as competing nationwide. After the free assessment, we send you a proposal with what needs to be done, in what order and what it costs. If you do not have a website yet, or yours cannot be optimized, our web design plans include basic SEO (titles, descriptions and structure) from the Starter plan up, and the Full plan adds an optimized Google Business Profile and analytics set up.
SEO and GEO: how they differ
SEO works for Google and other search engines: getting your site into the results list and onto the map. GEO works for AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity: getting them to name you when someone asks who to hire. The foundations are similar (clear content, well-organized data, a fast site), which is why we do them together, but they are measured differently. If AI assistants are what you care about, see our service for ranking on ChatGPT and Google (GEO + SEO) or the guide what GEO is.
